Susan Kart joined DSG Storbeck in 2022 after a productive 20-year career as a professor in the Humanities. In academia, her work as an Africanist focused on interdisciplinary teaching, global cultural competencies, and cutting-edge research on 20th century art and production on the African continent and in the diaspora. As a professor, she taught students and early career professionals how to find their strengths, begin their careers, apply to graduate school, and more. She is multilingual (French, Wolof, Spanish) and culturally competent across the US, European, African, and Asian diasporic populations. She taught at Lehigh University, Sarah Lawrence College, SCAD and both her Alma Maters. She has worked at and consulted for multiple museums and non-profits including the Brooklyn Museum, the Bruce Museum, Yonkers Riverfront Library, the Smith College Museum of Art, and Pheobe Ministries of Allentown.

At DSG Storbeck she works with clients to find mid-career and senior professionals who are prepared to move deeper into leadership roles. In her first two years at the firm, she helped place more than 20 talented individuals into leadership positions, over 60% of them women. She specializes in leadership for libraries, facilities, art institutions as well as higher education and K-12 schools.
