Leticia
Peguero
Senior Vice President
Firelight Media
We partnered with Firelight Media on the search for a Senior Vice President. Firelight Media is the premier destination for non-fiction cinema by and about communities of color. Firelight Media produces documentary films, supports filmmakers of color, and cultivates audiences for their work.
Our work resulted in the recruitment of Leticia Pegeuro to the role.
Pegeuro has nearly two decades of experience working in and around social justice philanthropy.
Most recently, she worked as an executive coach and organizational consultant.
Previously, Pegeuro served as Vice President of Programs at the Nathan Cummings Foundation, where she developed programmatic strategies that were responsive to the complex nature of social change. In that role, she was a long-time supporter of Firelight’s Documentary Lab as well as a range of other arts and culture organizations and narrative change strategies.
Pegeuro has also held leadership positions at the Andrus Family Fund, where she collaborated with Firelight in building out our work in Impact and Engagement; the Posse Foundation; Planned Parenthood of New York City; and several other nonprofit organizations.
She serves on the advisory council of Grantmakers for Girls of Color, is a trustee of Philanthropy New York, and is a trustee of the Center for Social Policy.
Pegeuro is a proud alumna of the National Urban Fellows program.
She is a certified professional coach and is a member of the International Coaching Federation. A lifelong New Yorker and a dancer, Leticia has spent much of her life working and dancing at the intersection of Afro-Caribbean forms and contemporary dance.
Pegeuro holds an undergraduate degree in Sociology from Fordham University. She earned her Master’s degree in Public Administration at the Marxe School of Public Affairs at Baruch College.
