Georgette Edmondson-Wright’s career spans over 30 years in higher education at public and private institutions. She has a proven track record in enrollment management, college access, diversity, internationalization, and student success. Prior to her new role as the inaugural Vice President for Student Success, Research and Experience at New York University, Georgette served in a variety of influential leadership roles, most recently as Associate Vice Provost for Student Success at the George Washington University, in Washington D.C.  There she led an evidence-based, technology forward enrolment strategy to improve retention and graduation rates. She spearheaded partnerships with international universities, government and community-based organizations, to develop innovative programs that support institutional commitments to college readiness, diversity, internationalization and student success.  Her strengths lie in capacity building to achieve enrollment priorities. She has led the development of cross-campus teams focused on student interventions, developed precollege, dual enrollment, bridge and custom programs for international partners.  She has  also spearheaded campus-wide retention committees, guiding the development of surveys, predictive risk models, and scholar cohort affinity programs. In her new role at NYU, Georgette will be instrumental in aligning organizational structures with the shared mission of improving student outcomes. She is a sought-after speaker across the globe having presented not only across the U.S. but also in global locations such as Turkey, Spain, China and Latin America.

Georgette received her BS in Business Administration, and her Master of Business Administration from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale.
