Williams is an accountant who specializes in nonprofit organizations.
She has worked for a wide variety of nonprofit organizations. Most recently, she served as the first Director of Finance at GirlTrek, a life-saving movement of walking as a health intervention for Black women.
After starting as a staff accountant for an economic policy organization, she advanced from senior accountant to accounting manager at So Others Might Eat, a Washington DC social service agency.
From there, she went to health policy organization, Families USA Foundation, where she progressed from Accounting Manager to Senior Director of Finance.
Along with her accountant’s mind is the heart of an artistic idealist. Her hobbies are creative writing and playing violin. She volunteers as a PTA officer (often in the unpopular treasurer role), Girl Scout leader, and Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) volunteer.
Williams is a graduate of Howard University and Eleanor Roosevelt High School’s science and technology program.
