Criss

Chief Movement Building and Member Engagement Officer

Amnesty International USA

We partnered with Amnesty International USA (AIUSA) on the search for a Chief Movement Building and Member Engagement Officer. Amnesty International is the world’s largest grassroots human rights organization, a global movement of millions of people demanding human rights for all people – no matter who they are or where they are.

Our work resulted in the recruitment of Bethany Criss to the role.

Criss has seventeen years of leadership experience in strategy and movements and a deep passion for justice and people.

She joined AIUSA from Leading Educators where she served as Chief External Relations Officer, leading Advocacy, Board Engagement, Communications, and Development.

She has also served as Director of Development with the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law, Managing Director of Development with The Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights, and as National Director of Membership with the National Office of the NAACP.

Criss serves on the Board of Trustees of The Barrie School and the Board of EducateUs.

Criss is a proud alumnus of Northwestern University.
