Jennifer
Bartenbach
Chief Executive Officer
Central Indiana Community Foundation
We partnered with Central Indiana Community Foundation and its affiliate entities to identify and recruit the next CEO of the Central Indiana Community Foundation (CICF). The CEO is charged with building centers of excellence across all services and operations within the new CICF Philanthropic Collaborative.
CICF and The Indianapolis Foundation, along with Hamilton County Community Foundation, IMPACT Central Indiana and Women’s Fund of Central Indiana, are part of a $1 billion philanthropic collaborative committed to mobilizing people, ideas and investments to make Central Indiana a community where all individuals have equitable opportunity to reach their full potential—no matter place, race or identity. Each organization also has its own unique strategic plan to advance this goal within the communities it serves.
The search resulted in the appointment of Jennifer Bartenbach who has served as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer for CICF for the last 10 years.
Bartenbach was recruited to succeed a leader who had held the role for 23 years.
She is known for having a strong understanding of CICF and its affiliates’ business operations and played a major role in setting priorities and direction for the Foundation, while offering fresh ideas and innovation. Bartenbach effectively led the restructuring and establishment of the philanthropic collaborative.
Prior to her time at CICF, she was CFO and Board Secretary at the Indianapolis Museum of Art where she served as the Museum Administrator/Interim CEO.
Notably, she received the IBJ CFO of the Year award in 2021 and was a finalist for Indy’s Best and Brightest Award and in 2011 and 2012.
Bartenbach holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from University of Evansville. She earned her Master of Business Administration from Ball State University.
