Think 100% Campaigns Manager
Hip Hop Caucus
Koya partnered with Hip Hop Caucus on the search for a Think 100% Campaigns Manager. Hip Hop Caucus uses the power of cultural expression to empower communities who are first and worst impacted by injustice.
Our work resulted in the recruitment of Taurjhai Purdie to the role.
Prior to joining Hip Hop Caucus, Purdie served as Senior Campaign Manager at Color Of Change where she developed strategic, cross-issue campaigns to address systemic racism and advance justice for all Black people. These campaigns included economic policy campaigns to build congressional support for broad student debt elimination, tech accountability campaigns to hold Twitch accountable for addressing “hate raids” against Black and LGBTQ+ creators, media accountability campaigns to deplatform abusers and shift narratives around Black survivorship, education justice campaigns to protect students’ access to AP African American Studies, and dozens more. Taurjhai’s campaigns have been featured in media outlets such as CBS New York, TheGrio, and USA Today.
Purdie graduated with honors from Georgetown University (Washington, D.C.) where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in African American Studies and Government, and minored in Spanish.
