Heather Campion is a Managing Director at DSG Global (DSG), one of the top ten Executive Search firms in the country and the largest woman-founded recruiting firm in the world. She developed and leads the firm’s unique and highly successful consulting practice, Connected Leadership, which is designed to help leaders communicate and engage with key stakeholders more effectively. Customized strategies include building influential networks, designing impactful convenings and developing compelling narratives that enhance reputations and advance business objectives.
Campion is an accomplished leader with extensive experience in business, government, academia and nonprofits. She has deep expertise in communications, marketing, government relations, and philanthropy.
Prior to joining DSG, Campion was CEO of the JFK Presidential Library Foundation after more than a decade in financial services. She led Corporate Affairs as EVP at Citizens Financial Group, serving on the executive management team through over a dozen acquisitions. She later joined Northeast Bancorp as Chief Administrative Officer, and co-founded its online savings division, ableBanking.
Prior to her career in banking, Campion held multiple leadership roles at Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government, including Associate Director of Harvard’s Institute of Politics and Director of the JFK Jr. Forum. She also served as the School’s Director of Public Liaison and played a key role in launching the Center for Business & Government.
Her career began in politics and government, serving in the Carter White House—first in the speechwriting office, then in the Public Liaison Office. She has also had roles in several presidential campaigns.
A recognized leader in advancing women’s leadership, Campion serves on the board of the Massachusetts Conference for Women, is a member and past president of the International Women’s Forum of Massachusetts and has been a senior adviser and lecturer for the Women in Leadership Program at Harvard University.
She currently sits on the board of AAA Northeast, and on the President’s Advisory Boards of the Brigham & Women’s Hospital and MassGeneral Brigham. Her past board service includes numerous private and nonprofit institutions including PennyMAC Financial Services, Citizens Energy, Harvard’s Institute of Politics, and the JFK Library Foundation.
