Executive Director

Program for Torture Victims

We partnered with the Program for Torture Victims on the search for an Executive Director, resulting in the recruitment of Ana Grande to the role. The Program for Torture Victims provides medical, psychological, case management and legal services to torture survivors. PTV serves more than 300 victims of state-sponsored torture from over 65 countries annually.

Grande is a first-generation Salvadoran American with an extensive background in community organizing, policy, and nonprofit management. She has worked in education access, higher education, and healthcare industries, with a keen focus on empowering children of color, women, and immigrants to achieve the American Dream.

Most recently, Grande served as the Academic Dean and adjunct professor at Mount St. Mary’s University, and as the Associate Executive Director of the P.F. Bresee Foundation. 

Grande holds a BA in Political Science. She earned an MA in Humanities from Mount St. Mary’s University, and is wrapping up her EdD in Interdisciplinary Leadership from Creighton University.
