Koya | Diversified Search Group partnered with the University of Alabama at Birmingham Collat School of Business on the search for a Chair of the Department of Management, Information Systems, and Quantitative Methods. Our work resulted in the appointment of C. Allen Gorman, Ph.D.

Gorman joins UAB from East Tennessee State University, where he served as chair of the Department of Management and Marketing and a professor of Management. Leadership, performance management, and human resource management are among Gorman’s research expertise.

Before that, Gorman was a Professor at Radford University in Virginia, where he also coordinated the university’s industrial/organizational psychology master’s program, and at Angelo State University in San Angelo, Texas.

Gorman earned his bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Georgia. He holds a Master of Arts degree in industrial/organizational psychology from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Gorman earned his PhD in industrial/organizational psychology from the University of Tennessee.
