Legislative Director, Climate & Energy

Earthjustice

We partnered with Earthjustice on its search for a Legislative Director for Climate & Energy. Earthjustice is a nonprofit public interest law organization dedicated to protecting the magnificent places, natural resources, and wildlife of this earth, and to defending the right of all people to a healthy environment.

Our work resulted in the recruitment of Chris Espinosa to the role. Years ago, Espinosa served Earthjustice as Legislative Representative. He returned to the organization in February 2023.

Previously, as Director of Outreach and Engagement for the House Committee on Natural Resources, Espinosa led the Outreach & Engagement department in its dual mandate of providing member services functions to members of the committee and their staffs, as well as expanding the universe of constituents engaged on legislative priorities of the Chair. He spearheaded the chair’s flagship legislative priority, the Environmental Justice For All Act – a comprehensive piece of legislation covering multiple environmental statutes and congressional jurisdictional issue areas.

Prior to his time with the House Committee on Natural Resources, he served as GreenLatinos’ Executive Vice President & COO. Espinosa also had chapters with Hispanic Federation and League of United Latin American Citizens.

Espinosa earned his BS in Business & Public Administration from the University of Phoenix.
