DSG | Koya partnered with Per Scholas on its Senior Vice President, Development search. Our work resulted in the appointment of Evelyn Chen.

Per Scholas envisions a technology workforce as diverse as the customers it serves. Its mission is to advance economic equity through rigorous training for tech careers and to connect skilled talent to leading businesses.

In her role, Chen will expand and support the fundraising team, systems, and culture needed to fuel Per Scholas’ national expansion.

Chen brings more than 15 years developing and implementing fundraising strategies for mission-driven organizations, spearheading donor engagement programs, and building and leading cohesive, high-performing teams. Most recently, she oversaw development for international women’s rights group Equality Now, delivering the organization’s most successful fundraising results in its 25-year+ history, and helping to secure partnerships with Hulu’s The Handmaid’s Tale and Margaret Atwood’s The Testaments. She has also led development for Panthera and New Yorkers for Parks, and held a variety of fundraising roles at The Nature Conservancy in New York City, a major market for the global multi-million dollar organization during a period of accelerated growth.

Chen holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Dartmouth College.
