We partnered with the Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation on the search for a Director of Communications. Dodge Foundation envisions a just and equitable New Jersey where people of all races and communities have equal access to opportunities and are able to thrive and achieve their full potential.

In this role, she guides the Foundation’s communications efforts and strategy.

Oberdorf is a seasoned leader with 20 years of experience in communications, marketing, public engagement, and fundraising. She has spent her career working at organizations and nonprofits focused on advancing racial and gender equity.

Prior to joining the Dodge Foundation, Oberdorf was the Vice President of External Affairs at Echoing Green, an organization that invests in early-stage social entrepreneurs at the intersection of social innovation and social justice. At Echoing Green, she led and mobilized a $75M campaign, the Racial Equity Philanthropic Fund, with the goal of expanding investment to leaders of color across the country and around the world.

Previously, Oberdorf was the Director of Communications and Advocacy at Women Deliver, a nonprofit organization that champions gender equality and the health and rights of girls and women, in all their intersecting identities.

She has also volunteered at and served on the boards of nonprofit organizations, including the board of the New York Abortion Access Fund from 2018-2020.

Oberdorf started her career in journalism, writing and editing for newspapers and magazines.

Oberdorf has a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism & Mass Communications and Politics from New York University.
