Executive Vice President, Global Network Advancement & Operations

United Way Worldwide

We partnered with United Way Worldwide on the search for an Executive Vice President of Global Network Advancement & Operations. United Way Worldwide (UWW) is one of the world’s largest privately funded nonprofit organizations. Founded in 1887, its goal is to improve lives by mobilizing the caring power of communities around the world to advance the common good.

Our work resulted in the recruitment of John Farden to the role.

As Executive Vice President of Global Network Advancement & Operations, Farden
leads United Way Worldwide’s U.S. and International Network team, implementing
strategies, tools and resources to support local United Ways in collaboration with the senior leadership team. Farden oversees the Network Resilience, Community Impact Solutions, Strategic Insights and Operations, and International departments.

Before joining UWW, Farden served as the Chief Operating Officer at Results for Development, an international nonprofit that collaborates with government officials, civil society leaders and social innovators to create strong systems that support healthy, educated people.

For more than 13 years Farden worked at Save the Children U.S., a nonprofit championing the rights of children in 100 countries and held multiple roles including Associate Vice President for US Programs; Head of Strategy & Planning; and Senior Director of Global Sponsorship Operations.

Farden earned his Bachelor’s degree from Cornell University and a Master’s degree from Lesley University
