We partnered with Fortune School on the search for a Director of Human Resources. Fortune School of Education, established in 1989, provides preparation programs to fill the “pipeline” of educators needed in today’s schools.
Our work resulted in the recruitment of Kara Crochett to the role.
Crochett has 25 years of experience in human resources, and practices servant leadership trying to always think outside the box on ways to improve human resources. She has developed a comprehensive and strategic approach to managing talent, culture, and performance in various organizations. Crochett is passionate about creating inclusive, equitable, and engaging workplaces where employees can thrive and contribute to the mission and vision of their employers.
Crochett most recently worked at Sacramento Native American Health Center where she led recruitment to add an additional 50 positions for the opening of their new 2nd location and turnaround employee retention.
Previously, Crochett has worked in Retail, Nonprofits, Staffing, and companies aligned with her personal mission. She has also served as past President and Board Member of 4Cs of Alameda County and loves giving back to her community.
Crochett holds her PHR, SHRM-CP, Employee Retention Specialist Certification, Just Culture Master Certification, and studied Human Resource Management at Golden Gate University.
