Vice President of Programs

Action for Healthy Kids

We partnered with Action for Healthy Kids on the search for a Vice President of Programs. Action for Healthy Kids is a national nonprofit that brings together dedicated volunteers and partners to make schools healthier places where kids thrive. Through in-depth programs, school grants, and hundreds of free online resources, we help schools and families work together to provide healthy food, social emotional learning, and physical activity opportunities to millions of students in some of the most underserved communities across the U.S.

Our work resulted in the recruitment of Lesley Graham to the role.

Graham has an extensive background in the social impact sector, dedicating her career to making a positive difference in the lives of children and families across the United States. She has a strong track record of developing and implementing high-quality programs, striving to catalyze change in underserved communities and promote a better future for youth. Her expertise lies in program design and quality assurance, partnership development, and training design and delivery. With leadership experience across a diverse portfolio of programming, including areas such as health and nutrition, family engagement, school-based education programs, and early childhood development, she has a strong dedication and passion for addressing various social issues affecting children’s ability to thrive and succeed.

Previously, she served Save the Children US as Managing Director, Program Design, where she was responsible for developing and implementing a suite of high-quality programs, practices, and approaches across the early childhood continuum, prenatally through elementary years, aimed at advancing educational outcomes for children living across rural communities in the US, and ensuring children and families have the necessary supports and wraparound services to thrive.

Graham earned both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Family Sciences from the University of Kentucky.
