Mendillo

Director of Corporate Partnerships

The Trevor Project

We partnered with The Trevor Project on the search for a Director of Corporate Partnerships. The Trevor Project is the world’s largest suicide prevention and mental health organization for LGBTQ young people. The organization works to save young lives by providing support through free and confidential suicide prevention and crisis intervention programs on platforms where young people spend their time: its 24/7 phone lifeline, chat, text and soon-to-come integrations with social media platforms.

Our work resulted in the recruitment of Michael Mendillo to the role.

As a mission-driven fundraiser with a passion for the arts and LGBTQ+ causes, Mendillo has raised millions of dollars for nonprofit organizations throughout his career. He has a diverse background developing robust contributed revenue streams from corporations and institutions as well as implementing transformational employee and executive engagement strategies.

Previously, Mendillo served as Director of Corporate Relations for The Woodruff Arts Center in Atlanta, Georgia. Home to the Tony Award-winning Alliance Theatre, Grammy Award-winning Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, and world-renowned High Museum of Art, The Woodruff Arts Center is the third largest arts center in the nation and the largest arts educator in the State of Georgia. There, Mendillo secured seven-figure, multiyear partnerships from Atlanta’s largest Fortune 500 companies in support of the Arts Center’s many programs, events, performances, and exhibitions.

Previously, Mendillo held leadership roles in development at the Orlando Science Center, the Slow Burn Theatre at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts, and the Gay Men’s Chorus of South Florida.

A lifelong musician, Mendillo has a Bachelor of Music from the Shenandoah University Conservatory. He earned a Master of Science in Performing Arts Leadership and Management from Shenandoah University.
