Midland Center for the Arts (‘the Center’) is Mid-Michigan’s landmark destination for world-class entertainment and cultural programming.
A one-of-a-kind venue and community hub, the Center is a multi-campus facility that delivers programming across a broad spectrum of genres in both museums and performing arts. It is a place where art, science, history, music, theater, dance, films, camps, classes and professional world-class entertainers live under one roof.
In recent years, the Center has experienced significant positive evolution including audience growth, expansion of individual gifts, and expansion and integration of programs. Additionally, the Center has energized and strengthened its STEM-based learning.
Having celebrated its 50th anniversary in May 2022, the Center is poised for an exciting next chapter of innovation and impact.
About the Opportunity
Midland Center for the Arts is seeking a dynamic and innovative leader to serve as its President & CEO as it enters its next chapter.
This executive will have the opportunity to step into a one-of-a-kind, beloved institution and lead it through its next chapter of growth with effective and impactful leadership. In addition, a tremendous opportunity lies in the refresh of the mid-century building and redesign of the Center’s interactive STEM and arts-based museum space.
The next President & CEO will step into an organization with a stable financial situation, a supportive Board who understands the governance role of the board, and a strong executive team with extensive and varied industry experience.
