Directors of Corporate Engagement (Multiple Roles)
WE ARE NO LONGER ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR THIS POSITION.
About OneTen
The memory of George Floyd forged a reckoning with the systemic oppression of Black people in America. Days after his murder, leading Black executives Ken Chenault, Former CEO & chairman of American Express, and Ken Frazier, Former CEO & chairman of Merck, came together to discuss how corporations can take meaningful and sustained action for racial justice and equity in America. Together, they formed a coalition to break through barriers to economic opportunity and mobility.
In December 2020, nearly 30 founding companies—including Merck, IBM, American Express, Delta, Nike, Target, Whirlpool and others—committed to upskilling, hiring and promoting one million Black individuals into family-sustaining careers over the next ten years.
Today, OneTen is a coalition of leading chief executives and their companies who are coming together to hire, promote and advance one million Black individuals who do not have a four-year degree into family-sustaining careers. By catalyzing quality employment opportunities at scale for Black talent across the U.S., OneTen can help solve some of the persistent inequities and systemic barriers and close, at long last, the great wealth divide. Through a skills-first approach, OneTen connects employers with talent partners, leading nonprofits and other skill-credentialing organizations to support the development and promotion of diverse talent.
OneTen delivers its mission through three strategic pillars:
OneTen’s coalition has grown to include the support of over 60 companies across industries. Members include but are not limited to:
These companies look forward to welcoming additional members, including small and medium-size businesses, which power the majority of the U.S. economy.
Through the creation of one million jobs for Black Talent over the next 10 years, OneTen has the potential to address persistent inter-generational gaps in opportunity and wealth by working to ensure that Black Americans with the skills and aptitude to earn success also have the opportunity to achieve success.
