Westchester Medical Center Health Network (WMCHealth) is seeking a Thoracic Surgeon to join the growing surgery department at Westchester Medical Center and Mid-Hudson Regional Hospital (MHRH). The successful candidate will have a track record of strong clinical and academic accomplishments. The candidate may be eligible for an academic appointment at New York Medical College if appropriate. Familiarity and experience with minimally invasive and interest in robotic procedures is preferred. This individual will be based at the Valhalla campus and will help cover and perform complex cases at WMC. He/she will also be expected to grow the Thoracic program at MHRH, a Level II Regional Trauma Center. MHRH has a new DaVinci Xi robot and growing primary care and pulmonary services. Ninety percent of the program’s approximate 300 annual surgeries are performed using the minimally invasive and extremely precise high-definition da Vinci XI robotic system at Westchester Medical Center and MidHudson Regional Hospital.

Education and Qualifications:
MD, DO, or equivalent degree
Board Certification in Cardiothoracic Surgery
Eligible for a New York State Medical License
Compensation arrangements are competitive and will be commensurate with the selected candidate’s experience and achievements, and responsibilities of this position. The estimated good faith range is $380,000 - $580,000.
