The Opportunity  

 Longwood Gardens seeks a Vice President, Horticulture (“VP, Horticulture”) to provide visionary and strategic leadership to Longwood’s globally recognized and acclaimed horticulture program. The VP, Horticulture will be responsible for managing all aspects of the Horticulture Department in alignment with the goal of advancing the art and science of horticulture across all of Longwood’s properties. This position reports to the Chief Horticulture and Facilities Officer.

The VP, Horticulture will ensure the highest standards of horticultural excellence and disciplined scientific practices throughout all of the horticulture department’s divisions and in alignment with Longwood’s strategic initiatives and mission. The person will be charged with driving innovative business solutions across the entire department, and in collaboration with the Core Leadership Team. This individual will ensure the delivery of inspiring garden spaces, landscapes and seasonal displays, as well advancing leading-edge land stewardship practices across the entirety of Longwood’s natural lands.
