Physician Leader, Digestive Health

Parkview Health seeks a highly - driven, strategic, clinical physician executive for our newly - formed Digestive Health service line. The Physician Executive - Digestive Health maintains clinical practice while working collaboratively with the administrative dyad to build and develop a comprehensive digestive health program.  He/she will work collaboratively with the Graduate Medical Education department to facilitate a great learning experience. Additionally, the Physician Leader – Digestive Health will collaborate with hospital leadership to increase efficiency and productivity within the endoscopy space. He/she will partner with the administrative service line leader to develop strategic plans to increase access and provide high quality clinical care within digestive health throughout the region. Furthermore, the Physician Leader- Digestive Health will work to develop professional definition including physician job descriptions and clinical pathways within the service line.

Position Qualifications

Education, Licensure and Experience:

• Must have a Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy degree from an accredited medical school.
• Has completed an accredited ACGME/AOA residency program.
• Advanced GI fellowship/skill set strongly preferred.
• Must have a current valid unrestricted license to practice medicine in Indiana, and Ohio (upon request).
• Board Certification as mandated by contract.

Other Qualifications:

• The successful candidate will be a highly driven, strategic clinical physician executive.
• Candidates should have a strong background in guiding a GI practice including recruitment, leading strategic projects, and program development.
• Candidates should have a strong vision to develop specialty care and drive growth within the Digestive Health Structure and within Parkview Health.
• Candidates must have strong interpersonal skills with a willingness to work collaboratively with the physicians and advanced practice providers within the service line as well as be able to work effectively with other service line leaders across the organization.
• Candidates must have the ability to multitask, work to meet tight deadlines, and work to enhance digestive health care across the Parkview Health service area.
• Candidates must have a willingness to work collaboratively with hospital leadership and physician partners to increase efficiency in endoscopy including the development of programmatic standards.
