The COO will also play an important role in ensuring both high quality across the system and a strong, positive work environment that drives morale and an engaged and motivated workforce. The COO should be a leader who has “their finger on the pulse of the organization” as a result of visible leadership at the hospitals and transparent communication across the system.
The COO will report to the President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of UMMH and will work collaboratively with Boards of Trustees, UMMH leaders, medical staff, corporate functions, and the senior leadership teams at the entity level to advance the mission, vision, and values of the organization. This position will provide primary leadership and oversight for system operational excellence and the integration of clinical and administrative programs and processes across the system.
