The Opportunity
Community Partners is embarking on an exciting journey and seeks an inaugural Vice President, Equity, Talent and Culture to spearhead the establishment of a purposeful and equitable workplace. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, this role offers an unparalleled opportunity to shape the future of our organization as we expand to serve more mission-driven communities.
The Vice President will play a pivotal role in driving the advancement of Community Partners' mission through innovative leadership and comprehensive support across all aspects of people functions. We are seeking a dynamic and inclusive leader with deep expertise in Human Resources to revitalize our Talent and Culture infrastructure, processes, policies, systems, and procedures, ensuring alignment with our commitment to equity and impact.
Responsibilities include overseeing all HR functions, such as recruitment, talent management, compensation, benefits administration, organizational development, compliance, and employee relations. The ideal candidate will bring an entrepreneurial spirit to develop, implement, and promote scalable people strategies and policies. Additionally, they will inspire and mentor staff, strategically prioritize culture-building initiatives, and implement review processes and metrics to enhance employee retention and professional development.

Candidate Profile
The Vice President, Equity, Talent and Culture will serve as a visionary leader and thought partner, driving efforts to fortify Community Partners’ organizational culture and values with purpose and excellence. With a keen focus on equity and inclusion, they will infuse their work with a genuine passion for CP’s mission, embodying the organization’s commitment to effecting positive change. Preferred qualifications include experience in the nonprofit sector and familiarity with intermediary work.

Human Resources Expertise with an Equity and Inclusion Lens
The ideal candidate will possess extensive expertise in human resources best practices and a proven track record of implementing robust processes to support a mission-driven organization during periods of growth and transformation. With a solutions-oriented mindset, they will bring fresh ideas to Community Partners and demonstrate strong organizational and problem-solving abilities to efficiently manage day-to-day operations.
Furthermore, the Vice President, Equity, Talent and Culture will embody a strong equity and inclusion perspective, guiding the development and implementation of HR policies, procedures, and decision-making processes. With a deep focus on employee relations, this leader will navigate issues through an equity lens and collaborate closely with HR staff to promptly address reactive needs daily. They will also demonstrate unparalleled personal integrity, discretion, and tact, with clear experience in organizational development, compensation, and training and development.
Visionary and Strategic Leadership
The ideal candidate will serve as a strategic leader and thinker, adept at translating both short- and long-term strategies into actionable goals and initiatives. They will spearhead the analysis of key areas of focus, garnering buy-in from employees, and implementing proven strategies to proactively address challenges with effective solutions. Collaborating closely with senior leadership, the Vice President, Equity, Talent and Culture will demonstrate an open, creative, and adaptable mindset, introducing innovative approaches to establishing compelling and effective talent development and management practices.
Change Management and Organizational Effectiveness
The Vice President, Equity, Talent and Culture will be approachable, hands-on, and eager to collaborate with staff to reinforce the organization's culture and values. With a proven track record in leading, implementing, and communicating change management initiatives within complex organizations, they will possess a keen understanding of empowering people, influencing colleagues, and navigating cross-departmental collaboration. Compensation & Benefits
The annual base salary range for this role will be $200,000 - $220,000 and commensurate with the successful candidate’s skills and experience.
This is a permanent, full-time, exempt position and is eligible for Community Partners’ comprehensive benefit package of medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, paid time off, flexible spending accounts, and 401k retirement options.
