About The Global FoodBanking Network (GFN)

Food banking offers an innovative solution to alleviate hunger across the globe and mitigate climate change. The Global FoodBanking Network (GFN) is re-envisioning the food system — supporting and advancing the work of food banks to reduce food loss and waste and get more nutritious food to people who need it. In more than 50 countries across six continents, their Network of food banks is building healthier, more resilient communities and nourishing people and the planet, together.

More than enough food is produced to feed the world’s population, yet 800 million people face severe hunger and nearly 2.3 million people are food insecure. Meanwhile, one-third of all food across the globe is lost or wasted, producing up to 10% of the harmful emissions that worsen the climate crisis. Food banking address both issues by forging partnerships, spurring innovation, and developing community-led solutions to redirect wholesome, nutritious food to people facing hunger – improving the lives of millions of people and creating a stronger food system.

The Opportunity

The Corporate Partnerships Senior Director will be the architect of fundraising excellence, crafting innovative strategies to expand and strengthen enduring corporate alliances. They will drive mutual growth, fostering shared values that not only bolster GFN’s mission but also fuel the success of their member food banks. With a visionary approach, the Senior Director will steer the Corporate Partnerships team towards new horizons, offering strategic counsel on pivotal initiatives. They will ensure projects flourish from conception to completion, all while championing their team’s autonomy and operational prowess. This is a pivotal role and a catalyst for transformative impact through collaboration.
