UPMC Memorial is seeking a new Chief Nursing Officer. UPMC Memorial is a 104-bed hospital with all private patient rooms that opened in 2019 based in York, PA. The modern, five-level facility provides acute and emergency medical care, cardiology and vascular services, chronic disease management, surgical services, and treatment for patients in need of long-term acute care.
Reporting to the President, the Chief Nursing Officer provides nursing management, direction, and leadership for UPMC Memorial Hospital. This position is responsible for driving, supporting, and modeling a caring service-oriented professional culture focused on employee engagement, quality, patient safety, service excellence, fiscal responsibility, and the overall patient experience.
Required Qualifications:
- BSN required; Master’s degree in Nursing or related health care field required; PhD or DNP in Nursing preferred.
- At least 5 years of progressively increasing experience in senior nursing leadership roles; depth managing diverse patient care functions in a hospital or matrixed health system of relevant size, scale and complexity. (prior CNO experience preferred)
- Ability to successfully navigate a highly complex and matrixed organizational structure.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including staff development, mentoring, and coaching. Excellent communication (verbal and written) presentation and platform skills.
