Junior Achievement of Greater Washington (“JAGW’) is the premier school system advisor and implementer of equitable, rigorous, scaled, and sequenced future-readiness curricula and experiences. We partner with school systems to bring our unique programming to every student from middle school through high school. The President & CEO Opportunity
We are seeking a visionary leader who demonstrates the ability to pursue, nurture, and maintain strong relationships leading the organization into its next stage of growth, innovation, and impact. The individual best suited to lead JA of Greater Washington will excel at creating strategy, passionately advocating for the mission, and relentlessly pursuing operational excellence, financial performance, fundraising, and governance as measured by the positive impact on our community. A strategic trailblazer, the President & CEO will lead a vibrant organization and activate a team of talented staff, volunteers, corporate, community, and education partners to make a significant impact on students and change the trajectory of their lives.
The President and CEO will oversee all activities of the organization, including organizational leadership, planning and execution; Board relations and governance; resource development; external relations; communications; financial, human resources and administrative management; and program strategy, implementation and delivery.
Compensation, Benefits & Location
The expected salary range for this role is $300,000 - $375,000 and includes a comprehensive benefits package. This is an in-office role, with an expectation that the President & CEO will have a regular presence in JA of Greater Washington’s headquarters in downtown D.C. as well as its regional offices in Silver Spring and Landover, MD and Fairfax, VA. The position allows for hybrid flexibility and requires work outside of regular business hours to connect with programs, partners, community members and supporters.
