The Role of Vice President for Administration and Finance and Chief Financial Officer

Widener University seeks an experienced, strategic, and forward-looking leader for the position of Vice President for Administration and Finance and Chief Financial Officer. Reporting to President Stacey Robertson and serving as a member of her core leadership team, the Vice President and CFO will partner with an experienced team of administration and finance leaders to ensure financial sustainability, optimize resource allocation, and drive strategic financial initiatives that support the university's mission and long-term goals.

The Vice President for Administration and Finance and Chief Financial Officer is the chief financial officer at Widener University and is a strategic and collaborative leader on campus, while effectively managing and leading within the division. Reporting directly to President Stacey Robertson, the Vice President serves as a collaborative and collegial member of her Leadership Team, which includes:

  •  Chief Diversity Officer
  • Provost
  • Vice President for Enrollment
  • Vice President for Library and Information Services
  • Vice President for Strategic Initiatives and Chief of Staff
  • Vice President for Student Engagement and Transformation and Dean of Students
  • Vice President for University Advancement.

The new Vice President for Administration and Finance and Chief Financial Officer will be expected to bring a creative, forward-looking perspective to the University’s strategic planning and financial management. They will focus on enhancing financial sustainability, scenario planning, and fostering collaboration across the institution in the face of the changing landscape of higher education. They will interact with the Board of Trustees, campus leadership, and other key stakeholders to ensure the university's financial health and strategic growth.
