The Department of Surgery at Westchester Medical Center Health Network (WMCHealth) is seeking  board-certified plastic surgeons with fellowship training in Hand Surgery.  Hand surgeons will assist in building the hand/upper extremity service within Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery, expanding/growing the elective practice, and providing critical care to hand trauma patients through the level 1 trauma center.

WMCHealth includes Westchester Medical Center, a 600-bed hospital that is the main academic affiliate teaching hospital of New York Medical College in Valhalla, NY and MidHudson Regional Hospital, a community hospital that includes the Redl Center for Cancer Care in Poughkeepsie, NY. Westchester Medical Center is accredited by the NAPBC and the Commission on Cancer as an Academic Comprehensive Cancer Program and recently achieved the Commission’s Outstanding Achievement Award.

Position Responsibilities

  • The candidate will be expected to provide clinical leadership across their multi-hospital system.
  • Successful candidates will be committed to patient care, the education of medical students, residents, fellows and scholarly activities that advance clinical medicine.

Education and Qualifications

  • MD, DO, or equivalent degree
  • Board Certification in Plastic Surgery
  • Completed Fellowship in Hand Surgery
  • Eligible for a New York State Medical License

Compensation

Compensation arrangements are competitive and will be commensurate with the selected candidate’s experience and achievements, and responsibilities of this position. The estimated good faith range for this position is $450,000 - $550,000.
