The Westchester Medical Center Health Network (WMCHealth) is seeking an experienced leader to serve as Chief Operating Officer and Senior Vice President of Advanced Physician Services. Reporting to Dr. Sean Tedjarati, President and CEO of Advanced Physician Services, the SVP/COO will advance initiatives that further optimize the overall performance of WMCHealth's employed physician organizations and ambulatory enterprise.
WMCHealth is a $3 billion revenue, 1,700-bed healthcare system headquartered in Valhalla, New York, with 9 hospitals on eight campuses spanning 6,200 square miles of the Hudson Valley. WMCHealth sponsors 31 GME programs, with over 300 residents and fellows and has a workforce of more than 13,000 people. WMCHealth has nearly 3,000 attending physicians who care for more than 381,000 patients annually. Over 800 of its providers are employed by the WMCHealth Physicians Group. The organization has realized significant expansion in the last decade and has a strong position in a highly competitive market.
The SVP/COO will be responsible for the development and implementation of operational initiatives across the physician enterprise, including collaborating with clinical and other leaders on practice management efficiencies, access, physician recruitment and retention and staffing models. He/she will work with organizational leaders to help create a new sense of coordination and ‘systemness’, helping remove silos and advancing integration across the continuum of care. WMCHealth seeks a progressive leader with skills in execution, financial management, and business development, gained from experience in a leadership position within a health-system sponsored physician group. He/she will demonstrably improve practice operations, access and provider satisfaction. The SVP will bring process improvement experience and knowledge of best practices and contemporary industry standards to the management of an ambulatory enterprise.
The successful candidate will be an outstanding physician practice leader with a strong record of accomplishment building organizational structure and teams within a complex integrated environment, improving operational performance, building systems and processes to increase efficiency, a working knowledge of information technology applications and advancing sophisticated, integrated strategic IT solutions, and advancing telemedicine and virtual health platforms. Candidates must have a track record developing excellent physician relationships, collaborating with other leaders and mentoring future leaders for sustained growth. The individual who will best succeed is one who is visible, proactive, decisive, an outstanding communicator and one who is able to build trusting relationships across the organization, especially engaging colleagues in improving provider operations.
Compensation arrangements are competitive and will be commensurate with the selected candidate’s experience and achievements, and responsibilities of this position. The estimated good faith range for this position is $409,000 - $530,600.
