Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of New York (“Catholic Charities”) seeks an experienced, forward-thinking, and thoughtful Human Resources professional to join its leadership team as its Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO). The CHRO will be primarily responsible for overseeing all HR functions for the 800+ employees of Catholic Charities’ premier agency, Catholic Charities Community Services (CCCS); will provide HR services for smaller CC agencies under Business Services Agreements; and will serve as a resource for CC federation agencies on HR and talent management matters.
The CHRO coordinates and directs strategic and operational decision-making in the planning, development, and implementation of meaningful and measurable human resource programs and services. The CHRO will have accountability for developing and providing comprehensive human resources services, expertise, and policies and applying best practices specifically in the areas of total rewards, employee relations, succession planning, talent recruiting and management, policy, culture building, organizational and performance management, and professional development.
The CHRO will be a key member and advisor of Catholic Charities’ senior leadership team. This person will be responsible for the development of comprehensive HR strategies, meeting the unique culture and needs of each agency, while supporting Catholic Charities in creating fair, equitable, and consistent policies, programs, and practices across the organization. The CHRO will have comprehensive knowledge of all areas of human resources, current HR best practices, with an ability to develop, implement, lead, and monitor meaningful and measurable programs and services.
