About Long Duration Energy Storage Council
The Long Duration Energy Storage Council (LDES Council) is a global non-profit organization, with founding members and a Board made up of executives and business leaders from leading energy companies, technology providers, investors, and end-users in 22 countries. The LDES Council advances the decarbonization of our world through the acceleration of long-duration energy storage by providing member-driven, fact-based guidance and research on the deployment of long-duration energy storage for society's benefit.
LDES Council’s mission is to accelerate decarbonization of the energy system at lowest cost to society by driving innovation, commercialization and deployment of long duration energy storage. This will cut global emissions and ensure flexibility in electricity supply, while providing flexible, affordable, reliable, and resilient clean energy solutions. The LDES Council’s industry experts provide fact-based guidance to governments and diverse stakeholders in the deployment of long duration energy storage to help achieve NetZero for electric grids by 2040.
The LDES Council provides education and advocacy services to help advance the adoption of long duration energy storage and accelerate carbon neutrality. The LDES Council covers four types of LDES technologies, including mechanical, thermal, electrochemical and chemical solutions.

The Opportunity
As LDES Council continues to grow, they are seeking an experienced, nimble and adaptable Chief of Staff (CoS) to join their team. Reporting directly to the CEO, the CoS will be instrumental in translating the CEO’s vision into actionable strategies, driving execution, and ensuring alignment across a diverse, remote team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the energy sector and be adept at navigating the complexities of a global ecosystem and fostering collaboration among team members from various cultures and backgrounds.
As a senior leader internally, the CoS will be a champion for new ideas supporting both innovation and effectiveness. With an eye towards building and implementing systems, the CoS will be a team player who is detail oriented, strategic, and tactical. Possessed of sound judgment, this role will be a critical member of the team to execute on vision for a growing -membership organization (over 60 today).
