The Presidential Search Committee of College of DuPage invites applications, expressions of interest, and nominations for its next President who will provide exceptional and accomplished leadership to a college that offers a high-quality educational experience to its diverse community members.
With more than a 50-year tradition of excellence, College of DuPage (COD) is a comprehensive community college recognized for its innovative programs as well as its extensive business and community outreach efforts. COD offers seven degrees in more than 150 areas of study, and each degree program emphasizes relevant coursework and results-focused teaching by dedicated faculty. With more than 26,000 students served annually at their main campus in Glen Ellyn and five other service centers, COD is the largest community college in Illinois and the second largest provider of undergraduate education in the state.
For its next President, the Board of Trustees seeks a visionary, innovative, and strategic leader who will help fulfill the mission of COD to be a center for excellence in teaching, learning, and cultural experiences by providing accessible, affordable, and comprehensive education. The new President must be able to navigate the challenges and opportunities presented by a large and complex community college and foster a collaborative, supportive, and positive environment in which all members of the college community can thrive. In addition, the new President must have proven ability to manage the diverse issues of financial affairs, strategic planning, human resources, curriculum development, collective bargaining, and community/legislative relations.
Expressions of interest and nominations are being accepted now and interested candidates should submit materials in early fall to ensure fullest consideration. Ideally, the new President is expected to begin serving as early as late March 2025. This is a full-time position that will be performed on site in Illinois. Salary commensurate with experience with a generous benefits package.
