The University of Kentucky (UKY) College of Medicine, Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Medical Oncology and the Markey Cancer Center are seeking to recruit an outstanding academic physician with expertise in Medical Oncology and the ability to contribute to the growth and development of a comprehensive and interdisciplinary program. This faculty member will be engaged in and committed to the development of a premier program which provides exemplary care for patients in a comprehensive, cohesive, efficient, and integrated manner.  While the immediate priority is to provide outstanding and accessible care to medical oncology patients, this faculty member will also be expected to engage in workflow redesign and process improvement to continuously achieve this goal. To effectively meet these challenges, this faculty member will need to collaborate with and engage all members of the health care team, share responsibilities as appropriate with other team members, and build a cohesive and creative team environment. We expect that this faculty member will be involved in research that will advance the care of patients in medical oncology, move the field forward, and attract patients to UKY. The successful candidate will also be able to collaborate with laboratory investigators to translate novel observations from bench-to-bedside in innovative investigator-initiated clinical trials.

This role will practice at the Markey Cancer Center, our NCI-Designated Comprehensive Cancer Center, with the brand-new ambulatory Markey Cancer Center slated to open in 2027. The predominant criteria include emotional intelligence and a proven ability to deliver excellent patient care while training future leaders in medical oncology.
