The Division of Oncology and Hematology at the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC), in partnership with Nebraska Medicine, is excited to announce clinical faculty opportunities for medical oncologists and hematologists at the expanding Fred & Pamela Buffett Cancer Center - Kearney in Kearney, NE. The successful applicant will participate in the multidisciplinary clinical care of patients and the design and conduct of cancer clinical trials and will join a vibrant academic division in a university that has expanding clinical and research programs, located in an economically thriving community with a modest cost of living and outstanding school systems.

  • The new state-of-the-art Fred & Pamela Buffett Cancer Center- Kearney is part of the only NCI designated cancer center in the state.
  • A founding member of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN)
  • Participation in the multidisciplinary clinical care of patients and the design and conduct of clinical trials.
  • Member of the Alliance for Clinical Trials in Oncology. The Alliance is one of four multidisciplinary cooperative adult cancer treatment groups funded by the National Cancer Institute.

QUALIFICATIONS

Basic qualifications

  • Candidates must have an MD, DO, MBBS, or equivalent degree.
  • Board certified/board eligible in medical oncology and/or hematology.
  • Interest in teaching fellows, residents, and medical students, and other healthcare professionals.

Preferred Qualifications and Desired Attributes

  • Experience treating patients in a hub-spoke academic medical center environment.
  • Interest in serving local communities through dedicated outreach clinics.

This is a full-time position that will be performed on-site in Kearney, Nebraska. Salary commensurate with experience with a generous benefits package.
