The Gabelli School of Business at Fordham University (GSB) seeks an innovative, driven, and strategically minded leader to serve as the inaugural Senior Director for External Partnerships and Engagement. Reporting to Dean Lerzan Aksoy, and in close partnership with faculty and senior leadership within the Gabelli Business School, the Senior Director is responsible for the development of a comprehensive external partnership strategy that aligns corporate and other external relationships with the Gabelli School’s strategic priorities in support of academic, reputational, and financial objectives.
The inaugural Senior Director of External Partnerships and Engagement advances the Gabelli School of Business’s (GSB) mission, vision, and strategic priorities, particularly in fostering external partnerships that drive revenue generation and sustainable growth. The Senior Director of External Partnerships and Engagement enhances, develops and builds strong, mutually beneficial relationships between corporate and other external partners and GSB. In collaboration with GSB faculty and leadership, and the potential to grow an external partnerships and engagement team, the Senior Director will strategically partner with key colleagues within the Fordham University community to develop a comprehensive corporate engagement strategy to advance key objectives, build financial resilience, and support growth and innovation within GSB and the greater university.
The Senior Director of External Partnerships and Engagement is an experienced and strategic leader with evidenced expertise in business development, sales, marketing or similar fields. They have demonstrated leadership in senior positions with a track record of successful relationship management and partnership development. Possessing superior communication skills, the Senior Director has the ability to articulate ideas and strategies to senior executives, coupled with strong marketing and promotional skills to drive and achieve articulated strategic goals. The Senior Director will be a strong, tactical manager as well as an inspirational leader, driven by the opportunity to develop significant new initiatives for GSB that will strengthen its connections to corporate partners, further leverage the expertise of faculty, and identify additional opportunities for revenue generation.
The compensation range for this position is $168,000 - $200,000 with a generous benefits package designed to support physical, mental, and financial wellness. This position is eligible for a hybrid arrangement and requires residency in the Tri-State area.
