Planned Parenthood Southeast, Inc. (PPSE) provides quality, non-judgmental reproductive health care, education, and advocacy across its service area in Alabama, Georgia, and Mississippi and is in the process of re-imagining its role as a provider of healthcare and education and as a vocal advocate for reproductive health services.  PPSE seeks to help individuals make informed decisions about their reproductive health, family planning options, and sexuality by providing people with accurate information and access to highly trained practitioners for preventive care.  PPSE sees a world in which every child is wanted and cared for, every decision regarding sexuality is personal and informed, and everyone has access to affordable, quality care.

In 1930, a Planned Parenthood affiliate was created in Alabama, the oldest in the Southeast.  The Georgia affiliate of Planned Parenthood began in 1964.   Services were added in Mississippi in 1989, and all three states joined forces in 2010 under the name Planned Parenthood Southeast.

Reporting to the Board of Directors, the CEO’s responsibilities will include envisioning and establishing, in conjunction with the Board, a new business model and vision for the organization that will include identifying alternative service lines and revenue streams to generate the necessary financial resources for the affiliate.  The CEO will also work with the Board and staff to ensure that the delivery of services and initiatives are developed and integrated through an equity lens. It will be imperative that the CEO be inspiring as the Planned Parenthood Southeast spokesperson to gain financial and advocacy partners and that the CEO demonstrates passion for the PPSE mission.

With a passionate and compassionate staff of approximately 90, a dedicated and diverse team of volunteers, and a $15M annual operating budget, PPSE operates five clinics in its service area.  This is a critical and exciting time for PPSE as the CEO will have an opportunity to lead the organization through necessary transformation and will partner with the Board, staff, and stakeholders in the creation and implementation of a new shared vision and associated strategic plan.
