Prep Public Schools (PPS) seeks nominations and applications for a transformative leader to serve as its Chief Executive Officer.
The CEO will lead Prep Public Schools to elevate and strengthen its two middle and high school campuses, with a strong focus on improving academic outcomes, streamlining operations, and ensuring consistent delivery of a rigorous, compassionate, values aligned education to propel young men to lead and transform their communities. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic leader capable of navigating complex challenges with experience building and maintaining systems for effective instruction, culture support, and teacher and leader development. Over time, ideally the leader will be a champion and spokesperson for boys' education on a national level. The CEO will work closely with local stakeholders, including the authorizer, education nonprofits, and philanthropic partners, and will be responsible for driving systemic change to ensure that students are fully prepared for their futures.
This is an exciting opportunity to take the reins of a charter network serving young men and working to address the crisis of opportunity, confidence, and leadership building for young men. Prep Public Schools has incredible impact potential at a time when young men in East Tennessee face critical challenges. The CEO will need to understand the unique education, economic, and social factors at play in both Knoxville and Chattanooga, and balance the needs and expectations of the Board, funders, teachers, parents, and students while remaining deeply committed to the long-term success of the students the organization serves.
This is a full-time position that will be performed on site in Chattanooga and Knoxville, Tennessee, with the expectation of weekly travel to the other location. The salary range for the role is $165,000-$200,000; total compensation, including incentives will be based on experience and commensurate with the market.
