About Alverno College

Founded in 1887, Alverno College (“Alverno”) is a four-year independent Catholic liberal arts college for women sponsored by the School Sisters of St. Francis, and Wisconsin’s first Hispanic-Serving Institution. Last year Alverno College welcomed Milwaukee native, Christy Brown, J.D. as its nineth president. President Brown began her tenure during the 2023 – 2024 academic year. In September 2024, Alverno was ranked eleventh among Midwest Regional Universities for its commitment to undergraduate teaching. This marks the fifteenth consecutive year Alverno was recognized in this category, the only college in the state included in this category for its entire 15- year history. The College was also recognized as a top performer for social mobility.

The Opportunity

Alverno College seeks an innovative, data-driven, and collaborative leader to serve as the Vice President for Enrollment Services. Reporting directly to the President of the College, the Vice President serves as a member of the executive team and participates in institution-wide enrollment strategy planning and policy development.  

It is the Vice President for Enrollment Service’s responsibility to develop, implement, coordinate, and evaluate the College’s strategic enrollment initiatives and outcomes, while providing vision and leadership to the College in all areas of enrollment management and financial aid.  

The Vice President for Enrollment Services manages a staff of ten enrollment and three financial aid professionals.The Vice President for Enrollment Services will be an experienced enrollment professional with a vision for what is possible at Alverno College. They will have the ability to articulate and inspire others to unite in achieving that vision.

Strong candidates will offer:

  • Master’s degree is required.
  • A minimum of seven years of related experience in management of student services administration or a related field, including supervision experience of professional staff and fiscal management.
  • Extensive knowledge of regional and national student enrollment trends, particularly within colleges and universities.
  • Extensive experience and a track record of developing and implementing strategic, data-driven enrollment services plans based on effective use of marketing, information technology, predictive modeling, and CRM analytics.
  • Ability to switch easily between high-level strategic visioning and hands-on engagement as necessary.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the expertise to make public presentations.
Compensation & Benefits

This is a full-time, on-site work environment. The successful candidate must be based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Relocation support will be provided. This leader must be willing and able to occasionally travel and regularly work some evenings and weekends. 

The annual salary for this role will be based on a range, starting at $140,000 - $160,000 and will be commensurate with the successful candidate’s skills and experience. Alverno College also offers a generous benefits package.
