The Opportunity

The Vice President, Strategic Communications, Brand & Marketing (Vice President) will lead the teams responsible for TNTP’s external voice and brand. They will develop and lead the execution of TNTP’s overall strategy towards communication, marketing, media and engagements strategies, including connecting narratives from across the organization, sharing our impact, bolstering our sector leadership, and building the external momentum necessary to achieve outcomes for students. The Vice President will collaborate closely with senior leadership to align communication initiatives and stakeholder impact with the organization’s goals and values.

Highlighted responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

  • Set a vision for Communications, Brand, and Marketing that drives impact, fosters collaboration, and builds organizational momentum.
  • Develop outcome-focused strategies for impactful communications campaigns and marketing initiatives.
  • Provide thought leadership, manage stakeholder engagement, elevate executives, and build brand reputation through integrated programs.
  • Lead a team to deliver external communications, positioning, brand, messaging, issues management, and marketing.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to leadership, supporting enterprise-wide communications and serving as a spokesperson when needed.
  • Shape strategic engagements, partnerships, and platforms to position TNTP as a leader in public education transformation.
  • Create fresh perspectives and recommendations on education trends and media strategies, challenging the status quo.
  • Anticipate risks, address challenges, and safeguard brand reputation with expert communications strategies.
  • Foster an inclusive, supportive team culture through coaching, mentorship, and professional development.
  • Oversee budgeting, reporting, and metrics to ensure effectiveness and alignment with organizational goals.
Compensation & Benefits

TNTP offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience in a similar position with the potential for an annual performance-based bonus. The salary range for this position is $151,200- $226,800. New hires are typically brought into the organization at a salary between the range minimum and the salary range midpoint depending on qualifications, internal equity, and the budgeted amount for the role.
