About The Campagna Center

Founded in 1945, the Campagna Center (“TCC”) is one of Alexandria’s oldest nonprofit organizations. The Campagna Center serves the community by offering a range of programs that equip children and families with a comprehensive set of tools to help them thrive and succeed. Over 2,000 children and families take advantage of the services of Campagna daily.

The Campagna Center aims to have children arrive at school ready to learn and be academically and socially successful at each grade level, ensure adults gain the skills they need to become self-sufficient and successful, enlist the help of community stakeholders to be actively involved in supporting efforts that benefit individuals in the community, and operate as a high-performing organization committed to excellence.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Board of Directors, the President & Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is responsible for leading The Campagna Center in deep collaboration with its many stakeholders. TCC seeks an inspirational, resilient leader to provide strategic direction and oversight for this well-respected and vital community organization. This is a tremendous opportunity for a dynamic leader with a passion for serving children and families to join a beloved institution and collaborate with the board, 200+ employees, community partners, and elected officials to build upon decades of positive momentum and chart a course for the Campagna Center’s future growth and impact.

Strong preference for candidates who can offer:
  • Experience leading within a nonprofit direct service organization within a compliance-driven and regulatory environment.
  • Respected, public-facing leader with strategic vision and credibility within one of TCC’s programmatic areas including early childhood, Head Start, Pre-K through 15 education and afterschool programming, workforce development, and economic mobility programs.
  • Existing relationships or ability to build relationships with city, state, and federal agency stakeholders.
  • Deep experience and demonstrated success in leading a robust unrestricted fundraising program and strategy.
Compensation & Benefits

Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience. The salary range for this role is $180,000 - $220,000 with a generous benefits package.
