ABOUT SALL FAMILY FOUNDATION

Sall Family Foundation (“SFF”), founded more than 30 years ago, supports transformative change, underpinned in evidence-based approaches, at the nexus of environment, public health, and livelihoods. We believe that the people in communities are best placed to make the decisions that affect their everyday lives, enabling them to generate locally governed and sustainable solutions for the long-term – benefiting both people and nature.

SFF’s vision is turned into reality by a simple approach – backing leaders and organizations closest to the big challenges to the environment, public health, and poverty, empowering them to experiment, learn, and evolve as the planet around them changes. This is achieved through funding of both locally led civil society organizations and larger non-profit agencies with whom we encourage knowledge sharing and collaboration. This dual approach ensures community-driven approaches can leverage collective wisdom, scientific evidence, and scale efficiencies.

Our work is driven by curiosity, learning, and experimentation. We embrace the complexity and long-term nature of problems, knowing that leaning into the complexity leads to sustainable solutions that break the mold.

THE OPPORTUNITY

The Program Manager will play a key role in supporting and advancing SFF's programming efforts across focus areas, including environment, public health, and international development, with a focus on community-led initiatives. Reporting to a Managing Director of Programs and collaborating closely with the other Managing Director, the Operations Manager, and grantee partners, this role is instrumental in shaping SFF’s impact and contributing to its evolving strategies.

In this dynamic and fast-paced environment, the Program Manager will engage in program management, desk research, impact measurement, and learning activities to support both internal and external stakeholders. This role involves identifying and cultivating grant opportunities, leveraging insights from current initiatives, and contributing to the development of innovative strategies to improve lives and livelihoods globally.
