Every year, over five billion trees are cut down to make paper, paper packaging, and fabrics such as rayon and viscose. Many of these trees come from the world's Ancient and Endangered Forests. These forests are critically important to stabilizing climate, protecting biodiversity, and securing the rights and livelihoods of millions of Indigenous people around the world.

The Opportunity
The Head of Finance & Operations at Canopy is part of Canopy’s Executive team and will play a critical role in shaping the future of Canopy, ensuring alignment with our mission to protect the world’s forests, species, and climate and to help advance Indigenous communities’ rights. This leadership role encompasses managing diverse teams, including finance, HR compliance, IT, and administration. The Head of Finance & Operations is the guardian of operational efficiency and financial stewardship at Canopy, actively contributing to achieving sustained success while driving social and environmental impact.
This strategic leader will enhance Canopy’s operational capabilities, foster innovation, and enable the organization to meet its ambitious goals. The Head of Finance & Operations will introduce new processes and tools to enhance operational performance and support organizational systems. Collaborating closely with a passionate and dedicated team of professionals, the Head of Finance & Operations will align operational strategies with the broader organizational vision and strategy, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
The Head of Finance & Operations will be instrumental in driving efficiency and effectiveness across all support functions, including financial planning and analysis, accounting, operations, and IT, ensuring each team operates seamlessly to support Canopy’s mission. This strategic leader will enhance Canopy’s operational capabilities, foster innovation, and enable the organization to meet its ambitious goals.
