
Wellstar Health System (Wellstar) is seeking a dynamic, innovative, and accomplished nurse leader to serve as Executive Vice President & System Chief Nursing Executive. The new EVP/CNE will be a mission-driven individual with demonstrated flexibility and agility in designing solutions to support innovative, multi-disciplinary models of care that lead to higher levels of nurse engagement, successful nursing care across various clinical settings, patient satisfaction and that fosters fiscally responsible care.

Reporting directly to Wellstar’s President and Chief Executive Officer, Candice Saunders, and in partnership with the System COO, Mary Chatman, PhD, RN, and System CPE, Richard Freeman, MD, the new System EVP/CNE will be a highly visible and impactful member of the executive leadership team responsible for:
- Overseeing the comprehensive practice of nursing professional practice across all environments of clinical care and for the outcomes of evidence-based nursing practice across the institution.
- Driving the creation and implementation of a visionary strategic agenda for nursing that links clinical practice, training and education, with innovation and excellence.
- Ensuring integration of services and compliance with long-range objectives and strategies, including the provision of excellent quality services and responsible fiscal management.
