As part of the Department of Pediatrics, the Division of Pediatric Nephrology offers a full range of nephrology services including all modalities of dialysis and renal replacement therapy. Clinical responsibilities include all aspects of pediatric nephrology including evaluation and management of kidney transplantation. Ample opportunities exist for research with the new School of Medicine and Translational Research Center buildings.
The Department of Pediatrics at UMMC is committed to providing excellence in education, clinical care, and research with over 170 faculty members with all specialties represented. Training for a medical school class of over 150, postgraduate categorical pediatrics and med/peds residency programs, and multiple sub-specialty fellowships that are supported by the faculty.
Children's of Mississippi Hospital is the state's only hospital devoted exclusively to the care of sick and injured children and averages 9,000 admissions per year. Children’s of Mississippi has 250-beds, which includes a 32-bed PICU and 107-beds in the state’s only Level IV NICU.
We are seeking a new Division Chief with a desire to build, grow and expand. This role will provide mentorship and strategic vision to recruit new faculty to complement existing division faculty to meet the academic, research and clinical needs. Academic appointment will be commensurate with background and experience.
