NYU Shangai is seeking an experienced, collaborative, forward-thinking, and data-informed leader to fill the role of Executive Director of Recruitment, Admissions and Financial Aid. Reporting jointly to the Vice President of Global Recruitment, Admissions and Financial Aid and the Vice Chancellor of NYU Shanghai, and working as part of the leadership team, the Executive Director will take the lead in crafting a strategic enrollment plan for the university's undergraduate programs in Shanghai. The Executive Director will act as NYU Shanghai’s chief enrollment officer, developing systems and processes to streamline and enhance enrollment operations while growing the campuses’ international presence and serving as the champion of the unique global experience offered at the Shanghai campus.

The Executive Director is responsible for developing undergraduate recruitment strategies and admission policies and procedures for the NYU Shanghai campus, in alignment with university enrollment goals and objectives. Leading a team of fifteen with four direct reports, the Executive Director will utilize data and best practices to inform strategy and educate university enrollment management constituencies about industry best practices and environmental trends and will lead a diverse team in Shanghai and New York toward a unified vision for the achievement of enrollment goals for NYU Shanghai. This position is located in Shanghai, with travel as required to New York and elsewhere.

The Executive Director will be an experienced, collaborative, and innovative professional with the strong ability to collaborate with internal and external partners in a matrixed environment to achieve an ambitious enrollment strategy for NYU Shanghai. The ideal candidates for this role will employ excellent communication, organizational and planning skills. The Executive Director will have exemplary relationship building skills with both internal and external constituents and strong knowledge of market and societal trends affecting undergraduate enrollment at selective institutions including best practices for admissions strategies. They will possess strength in data analysis and familiarity with current technologies and trends. The successful candidate will have a commitment to the value proposition of an international research institution with a strong global presence. A bachelor's degree is required; master’s degree in higher education, administration or related field is preferred.
