The University of Miami invites nominations and applications for the position of Assistant Vice President of Online Learning. Reporting to the Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost, The AVP will provide strategic and administrative oversight for the University’s online programs and is responsible for advancing the institution’s vision for high-quality, scalable online education that expands access, supports student success, and strengthens the university’s competitive position in the evolving higher education marketplace.

The University comprises 12 schools and colleges and more than 3,600 faculty serving undergraduate and graduate students in nearly 350 majors and programs.
The AVP will partner closely with deans, faculty, enrollment management, marketing, and technology teams to develop and grow market-responsive online programs, ensure excellence in instructional design and digital pedagogy, and implement effective student support models for online learners. This role leads a multidisciplinary team of 20 individuals focused on program development, instructional design, learning technologies, and quality assurance while using data, market intelligence, and industry partnerships to inform program strategy, drive enrollment growth, and sustain long-term program viability. The AVP will provide strategic leadership and vision for UOnline, including long-term planning, for the university's growing online learning portfolio and initiatives in credit and non-credit programs.
